From Research To Practice
Manifesto Poetico provides the research. Codigo Artista creates a space for that research to enter directly into one artist’s practice.
Not A Method. Not A Formula
Codigo Artista is not a conventional training course, a ready-made methodology or a formula for artistic success.
It is a personalised process of research and dialogue, built around the artist, their work and their particular circumstances.
There is no universal system to adopt. The aim is to understand and strengthen the system already emerging within your own practice.
The Purpose
FINDING THE SYSTEM WITHIN YOUR PRACTICE
Every artist develops ways of thinking, choosing, composing and creating. Sometimes these remain intuitive or difficult to articulate.
Codigo Artista creates a space to make them visible, question them and develop them consciously.
The purpose is not to give you someone else's language.
It is to help you recognise, develop and strengthen your own.

HOW IT WORKS
1 - Initial Conversation
We begin with a conversation about where you are, what you are working on and what you are looking for.
2 - Research
We examine your artistic material, questions, habits, references and creative decisions.
3 - Dialogue
Through one-to-one sessions, we question, test and develop ideas together.
4 - Application
The research is applied directly to your work, project or creative practice.
5 - Development
The aim is to clarify your artistic decisions, define your own criteria and explore how your artistic language takes shape.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Codigo Artista is open to both artists who have previously worked with Manifesto Poetico and artists who are new to the Laboratory.
Because the process is highly personal, every new collaboration begins with an initial conversation to understand whether the process is appropriate for the artist and their current stage of development.
WITH CARLOS GARCÍA ESTÉVEZ
Actor, stage director, pedagogue and researcher, Carlos García Estévez has developed his artistic practice through more than 25 years of performance, research, teaching and creation.
His work in mask, movement, spatial composition and theatrical language forms the foundation of the research behind Codigo Artista.

The fee is discussed individually, according to the artist’s needs, the scope of the process and the way we choose to work together.
