We believe art should be accessible to everyone, everywhere.
Our Participatory Fund provides partial financial support to individual artists—locally and internationally—who face economic barriers in joining our Open Laboratories and Workshops.
Whether you're a student, a single parent, an emerging artist, or someone traveling from afar, you are welcome to apply. We are committed to cultivating an inclusive, supportive space that embraces diverse voices and perspectives.
If you're interested in participating in any of our activities, please feel free to contact us to request an interview. We’ll do our best to make your involvement possible.
RESIDENCIES
Manifesto Poetico Residencies are open to colleagues and former students who have previously collaborated with us through our Open Laboratories, TransPoetico Productions, or Workshops.
Set in the serene mountains north of Madrid, this residency offers solo artists and small companies the space and time to rehearse, workshop, or develop new theatrical works in a focused and inspiring environment.
Whether you're looking to create something new or simply reconnect with the Manifesto Poetico team in an intimate, nature-rich setting, we invite you to apply.
As part of our commitment to supporting independent artists, all accepted applicants will receive RESIDENCY FUNDING to help facilitate their creative process.
PAST RESIDENCIES
"The Manifesto Poetico Residency was nothing short of incredible! Having the chance to hone my craft in such a beautiful environment was a gift to my body, mind and soul. The serene mountains, lakes and rivers created an environment for meditation and artistic contemplation. I had the chance to work one-on-one with Carlos and to grow as a solo artist through daily rehearsal and exercises, tailored to my needs as an actor. I can't wait to open my solo show, that was developed during this residency, in the coming year. If there's any project you want to work on, this is the place to do it!" (September 2024)
MEAGAN HARRIS (USA)
Theatre and film actress, director and producer [meagan’s website]
“The Manifesto Poetico Residency in the mountains of Madrid was a vital experience. Everything an actor can dream of, having Carlos exclusively working with you, opening your mind and awakening your creativity as only a few can do. But the place... A cabin in the middle of the Sierras de Madrid, surrounded by forests and streams, nature in its maximum splendor. It has exceeded all my expectations. Thank you, Carlos, for having created this refuge of art and nature and letting us share it with you.” (October 2024)
ROBERTO KUZMANICH (ARG)
Actor and Director
”The Manifesto Poetico Residency has been fundamental in allowing me to inspect why it is that I’m drawn to storytelling and how I’d like to show up not only as an artist but a person who is here, now.
The time I spent with Carlos shook my ideas of myself, my philosophies, and what it might mean to be an artist. He infused my visit to the Spanish mountains with such care and generosity, not only in the training aspect (where he gave huge focus and tailored exercises and advice) but also in the conversations, the meals and the walks that we took in the beautiful nature. Carlos’ experience, depth of research and ability to understand what a person may benefit from during their residency is clear, and for these things I am so very grateful!” (May 2025)
